My husband ordered this Russian Violet through the mail. When we got it, it only had 3 leaves. Now at about 9 months old its gone crazy. It has been blossoming now since Fall and if you look closely you can see the buds still coming along with all the blossoms!
We look at it together every few days and are just amazed at how it is thriving. It is a very happy "crazy" Russian Violet! We keep it watered from the bottom and it sits in a window sill in a cooler room of the cottage. I guess thats why its a Russian
Do you have a Russian Violet? Or have you seen one blossoming like this?

@just4him I'm not an outdoors person either. However this year I'm going to try to be more involved with my hubby as he thrives on landscaping and gardening. I will be praying the Lord helps me on this as it doesn't come natural to me. Sounds to me like you have a green thumb on your inside plants!

@Butchcass4 I'm not an outdoors person and landscaping is something I can't do. I have a black, not green thumb. Though, my indoor plants are thriving.

I just love when what is planted yields they way it has done with your plant. It must be making your day each time you spend time with it specially when you least expected it. It happened with one of my zinnia plants. I never expected to see such a beautiful zinnia

@allknowing Yes we are so surprised at how well the violet is doing. We keep a close eye on it and make sure it always has water. Which we water from the bottom so it take what it needs and theres no over watering that way. Plus where it sits it is in a cooler room and the sun shines in that window that its in front of. God is so awesome when we consider all the flowering plants He made. Thats not to mention the galaxy, humans, and all other creation. It's mind boggling when you stop to think about it. We have an awesome Creator!

Wow, it came back from only three leaves? That's pretty amazing in itself.

It's so beautiful! It's great that the violet decided to grow and blossom for you. I've never ordered flowers through the mail. Were you skeptical about ordering them that way at first? Also, I don't have a Russian violet, but I am Russian! Hahaha!

I'm not really familiar with flower names but looking at the photo I think I've seen one in my grandmother's house long time ago.
They are very pretty.
