I have observed that some very interesting discussions are not discussed here on Mylot for a long time!
A day or two passed means the discussion is lost for ever!
Have you ever seen any discussion initiated lasting for several days?
May I know about your observation? What is the maximum time any discussion discussed on this site?
Thanks! God bless!

The basic shelf life for a post here is one day, two if it's popular.

the only time a discussion "is lost forever" is it was deleted by yourself or by admin.
anyone can stumble on your discussion days, weeks, months, years from now and it gets revived again and you earn again from that old discussion.

That means we need to fuel that discussion from time to time and get it back into circulation dear friend! Thanks for your idea @hereandthere!

@AKRao24 not all mylotters are beholden to a discussion that they want to keep pushing it. some mylotters run out of things to say about the topic, or have moved on from it (especially if it was already resolved). conversely, some members also want to see new topics from a member.

It survives alright...They get shown on side. And at times, people visit profiles and check the posts of the person, and then revive it. It just does not appear on the first few pages of notifications. That does not mean it is not going to earn later on.

@AKRao24 Often times when new discussions aren't interesting, members dig up old ones that are interesting.

The more a discussion keeps people responding to it, the longer it lasts. Even having the person who started it go in and respond back to everyone helps keep it going longer as well.

@AKRao24 I tend to take long breaks from the site but today I noticed someone commented on a discussion I made last October. Normally my discussions don't last more than a couple of days but then I'm not that popular. I expect people with a lot of followers can keep them going much longer.

Agreed , basically we need to spend lot of time here to keep up our discussion alive! To have followers you also need to follow them and that needs time! Incidentally just about a week back, one fine day my discussion which was about 10 years old, surfaced to my surprise! These things can happen here sometimes! Thanks dear @sprite1950

With tags a post can appear in the sidebar, under the "you might also like"
That's how I found this discussion. So here, two. On this after you submitted the discussion it is getting another response.

Oh I have seen some last for months on end. Though that is because of certain members that can keep the conversation going on and on.

I had a discussion I made 7 years ago that suddenly appeared last year and many people responded to it thinking they were new ones. When one of the members here go over your profile and would comment on one of your old discussions, it could make it alive again.

That is wonderful thing to know that we can revive our discussions and get them back to circulation to get paid! Thanks a lot for the information dear @toniganzon !

I think it varies. Sometimes you can get a response a year or two later. Usually for a few days.
