T minus 9 hours and counting
In just a little under 9 hours, I will be saying goodbye to my new friend. It’s been a love-hate relationship but hopefully, in just under 9 hours from now, it will be gone for good.
33 days ago after going to the hospital, I had to have a catheter put in because I couldn’t go for a pee. At the time I didn’t know that I had an enlarged Prostate which was stopping me going to the bathroom. Hopefully, with the medication, I’ve been taking as worked in reducing the Prostate and that once the catheter is removed I will be back to normal, fingers crossed.
Please don’t get me wrong I was most grateful for when the catheter was put in but now 33 days later, I so wishing it out and everything is working ok and I don’t have to have another one in.

Thank you, Anna, yes I could do without a catheter, they are a godsend when you need them the most but otherwise, they are a pain in more ways than one.

@kevin1877uk I imagine they are a pain. My mom was not happy to have one the last few weeks of her life.

I hope the medication you have been taking is doing what it's supposed to and that you won't need the catheter any longer. I bet it has been a real inconvenience having to use it.

I hope you recover soon, I wouldn't be comfortable if I don't get to pee within three hours or so.
