Telegram is Getting So much popular

I am talking about the traditional Telegram or letter but this is about the App telegram. I don't even know its proper use but i have IT INSTALLED in my mobile as it was required to complete a deal.
Do you know the reason why its getting popular?

No idea about this application...what else can it be more than whatsapp...which is almost a instant telegram? Will be happy if you can elaborate it! Thanks dear @thesupersingh!
