When I arrived at the quilt shop to choose my quilting pattern and thread colour they looked at my quilt top and asked what I was doing in the afternoon?
Oops....my other quilt tops were still in Ontario...but I had fabric...
In three short days I took a panel (preprinted) and used the other half yards of fabric I purchased to match and whipped up another quilt.
This isn't quite as large as the first quilt but makes a really attractive wall hanging at 63 X 68 inches. (157 X 170 cm).
It turned out exceptionally well.

Thank you. Last night I decided the paint had seasoned long enough and put up some hooks and the quilt is hanging in my hallway.

Nice quilt top. ~~~ One of my Facebook friends pieced together the neck and head of a peahen. She does lots and lots of quilting. ~~~ On youtube, I watch a channel called Creative Obsession. She talks about quilting and knitting. She does very nice work, too.

@Morleyhunt It sure does make a body feel good when things go together like it's supposed to.

The coordinating fabrics were purchased in a package with the quilt panel..I added the dark sashing myself and when I pieced the backing I had to purchase just one meter of a mint green.

Thank you! It was a fun quilt to make...even if I was feeling the pressure to complete it so quickly.

It looks wonderful! The beautiful peacocks predominate in the quilt. Is it your first quilt work in your new house?

It is the first quilt that I have made entirely in my new home. I now have two completed and a third well on the way.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to next Wednesday when the curing period for the new paint is ended and I can hang the quilt on the wall.

Thank you. It was fun, but certainly the situation presented a challenge,

I've learned not to put things off to when the kids are older....I made my first quilt when I had a three year old and a one and a half year old and was very pregnant with number three.

Thank you. I'm looking forward to hanging it next Thursday. That should give the paint ther quoted seven days to cure.

The colours and fabrics were part of a coordinating package. That made the process a little simpler....not having a pattern added to the challenge.
