I am learning how to make new dips.

During this summer months I have learned to make several new dips and now that I am being invited to my daughter´s house, I will bring one of them. One of my nieces brought an awesome dip to my aunt´s house in La Herradura. It had blue cheese (a bit), Roquefort cheese (a bit), Philadelphia cream cheese, cream, mashed arugula and mashed nuts. I will make it without the Roquefort cheese after learning about the price of it. I bet no one will miss it I will use the rest of the Philadelphia cheese to make a dip for us here. I make a thick syrup to which I add peppers and hot pepper of several colors diced in very small squares. I por that over the cheese and serve it with crackers. Yum! Do you have your own dips for parties? Do you change them from time to time? I do.

When I was a teenager people made their own dips because you couldn't buy commercial ones. I don't make them now but it's still a good idea.

I think mine are usually much better and less expensive than commercial ones. I don´t even use canned chicken peas for hummus

@marguicha I'm sure they're better - and cheaper. But it's now possible to buy just any combination you'd desire.

I love dips. Sometimes I prefer dips to the food after them.

I do the typical cheese dips for the meat eaters and I make Hummus and Tahini for vegans.

I always prepare my own dips for parties and Roquefort cheese dip is one of my hubby favorite, to serve with celery sticks.

I love trying new recipes. I don't like blue cheese at all though.

It is not bad if you only add a tiny bit to the dip.
