How many of you people when they have a wedding where you live decorate the car?

Here in Jerusalem when you see a car decorated nicely you know there is going to be a wedding. I wanted to drive in a decorated car when I got married but no decorations but got to ride in a car. Since I do not have a car here it is a luxory for me when I can ride in one.
Back to the subject: So do people put some kind of decoration on a car where you live so you know a wedding will happen?

Usually a white ribbon adorns the front of the car. After the couple are married and are off on their honeymoon people tie cans at the back of the car so it makes a noise as the car drives away drawing attention to the car! This was the car we used for my daughters wedding. It was a vintage Rolls Royce.

Oh wow - I didn't know that cars are a luxury there.
I know in times back is was considered the thing to do - but I haven't seen too many decorated cars either driving around or weddings I've been at

@Hannihar I think it's a cool tradition too :-) Doesn't seem like much people do it here though. Or if they do - maybe it's more a regional thing ...

We had a limousine when we married. Our older son had a Rolls Royce after his wedding and a bridal party limousine for the girls and a limousine for the groom's party. Our younger son had a limousine. Buses were provided for guests from hotels to the venue. My parents had a "Just Married" car with all the bells and whistles. Times have changed around here.

it is common here to put ribbons on the wedding car and tie tin cans to the underside of the back of it to get passers by to notice the married couple

I've seen them from time to time. They used to always honk their horns as they drove through the streets as well to let people know they were married. They don't do that anymore, but they do decorate their cars.

Yes, 100%. ABSOLUTELY! Wedding cars are decorated most elaborately and accompanied by 'big box' DJ music and lots of car horn blowing. On the average every family has about 3-4 cars per household in T&T.
