i did better academically in private school. i did, however, "come out of my shell" when i was in public school my junior and senior year. both have pros and cons, but i prefer private school. when my daughter is old enough, i hope i will be able to send her to a private school.

I think children can get a good education at both state and private schools, however private schools have less distractions. I went to both in my school days and found that private schools were alot more clued on to where kids were, (if not in class) plus the classes are smaller so a teacher has more control. I also think private schools teach you things about how to present your self and be proud to wear a uniform. My private schools were very strict on things like shined shoes, wearing a hat, tucked in shirts and socks up for boys. And all this i think has helped me to present myself well in the work force

I would love to be able to put my daughter in private school for primary grades and then public school from about 6th grade on..i think young children should have the one on one teaching that a public school cant offer....and can typicaly get at a private school... but we also moved to a GREAT school district so im not as concerned with it as I would be in many other school districts..

nowadays there's no difference in education because children either have friends that are a bad influence, or have family that are bad influences therefore it's carried into school whether you're paying for it or not

There is alot you need to take into consideration first of all remember school gets worse as they get older. There is not alot of violence in first grade compared to ninth if I were you I would save your resources for whn you really need them just speaking from experience. I have one in 8th grade and one in kindergarten.
