Do you still use a Basic Mobile Phone?

People tend to use Smartphones nowadays with its internet capabilities and other modern features, but I still own and use a Basic Phone for calls and text messaging. It's easier for me to use a Basic Phone for making calls and sending messages. What are your thoughts on this?

I loved my basic phone, I had it from the beginning but at Christmas my children decided since we moved away I needed a smart phone so they could face time me when ever they needed me. I don't use it much, mainly for them to call and really miss my basic.

I have a basic phone and it's a Nokia 3310 which was released last year but I have my iPhone. It's just my secondary phone. But I don't like to use it for calling or even texting at all. Why? The quality of the voice call is too far from the quality of my iPhone. But that's understandable because of the huge price gap between the two. The reason why I bought it was only as a backup phone just in case I run out of battery on my iPhone which thank goodness hasn't happened.

@Kakashi20 Whatever suits you. I usually make calls and I can't stand low quality voice calls. Been used to having high end phones I could really tell the difference of the quality.

No more basic phones for me because it can't do the work I am doing like crypto currencies etc.. but my 86 year old mother still uses it for emergencies ( since we still have a land line) and my 13 year old son, just for calling and texting in school, I dont allow him to bring his smart phone to class, he has to leave it at home.

@Kakashi20 pldt should phase out the landline but it seems they are using it for bundling to charge us more on something that is obsolete.

I have both. I use the basic phone because of battery issue. The smartphone battery I have drains fast in just few hours while my basic phone can last 5 days.
