Since I started taking back control of my life and making many positive changes I am feeling so much better both physically and mentally. It feels good to see and feel the results.
I am doing this for me and my health. I want to life a long, healthy life. I want to be here to see my grandchildren grow up. Having my heart attack and heart surgery made me realize just how precious life really is. In a moment everything can change. Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow but why not live your life in a healthy way and do your best to prevent health issues.
I am always looking for new meal ideas? I have learned that almost everything that I eat has healthy alternatives with just a few changes.
So tell me what is some of your favorite healthy meals?

I like stir fry usually chicken and lots of veggies. I've switched from ground beef to ground turkey but still occasionally have a burger ( no roll) from very lean ground beef. I rarely eat fast food anymore.
Today I'm treating myself to Wendy's chili and a side salad.

I know that Wendy's chili is most likely made from left-over burgers, but it really is so good that I don't care!

We rarely eat out. We prefer home prepared meals. I do like Wendy's chili though and I like their baked potatoes.

Go back in time, even to the beginning, such as the Garden of Eden.
Here are few ideas:
A few ripe bananas (or grapes, apples, pears, etc) and a cucumber (or zucchinis, romaine, spinach, lettuce, ect).

I love eating avocados! I could eat them for every meal, every day and never get tired of them!
During the summer, I love going with my girlfriend to pick fresh blueberries, and then using them to make smoothies. They are amazing!

@Raelove I put them on my salads, on my BLTs and other sandwiches, on hamburgers, and anything else that I think they will pair well with. But mostly I just eat them by themselves. We go through avocados like crazy in my household because my daughter loves them just as much as I do!

@Raelove That is true, if you cut them open you will need to eat or use them pretty quickly. They do get brown rather quickly, and then they look too gross to eat at that point!

@Raelove Luckily for me, I can't keep avocados around long enough for them to brown and darken! I eat them as fast as I cut them! lol

Everything I eat is healthy. My favorites are always being added to. When I first started the Whole30 plan, I made guacamole for the first time. I'm rarely without it. Only long enough for the next avocados to ripen for use. I put guacamole on baked or mashed potatoes. I also found it was good on fish in place of tartar sauce. I tried that last week for the first time. I make a banana nut combination in my Ninja that is really good, taking the place of oatmeal. A banana or two, about a cup of cashew or almond milk, and almonds, pecans, and walnuts, blended together. Delicious! Then this past week, I went to Perkins and ordered their spinach and mushroom sizzler. I've since made my version at home - spinach and baby kale, onion, cubed potatoes, and mushrooms with a couple eggs. Very good, and very healthy.

A big salad. In fact, that’s what I had for dinner. (And by “big,” I mean an entire head of lettuce and two whole tomatoes, cut up.)
