HAIKU

I enjoy writing Haiku. Have you ever tried it? To me, it is very relaxing when I think about the pleasant word pictures Haiku brings to my mind, whether it's from reading what others have written or from my own attempts to write pleasant soothing words.
Haiku follows a specific pattern also.
The first line is always FIVE syllables.
The second line must be SEVEN syllables.
The third line must be FIVE syllables.
Here are a few that I have written. I hope they make you feel calm and peaceful.
God's paintbrush at work
Like fire in the sky tonight
It fills us with awe.
Snow-capped mountains high
Deep lake in valley below
Flowers blooming white.
Comes the foggy mist
Softly rolling to the shore
Waiting for the sun.

Yes, I did them in school. Not since then. Not into poetry.
