Tomorrow will be the last day that my friends will be living at my house.
Today they received their furniture and tomorrow, after a barbecue at lunch, they will finally go to live to their own house.
For them it is the end of a long story with lots of problems and sadness. They had such big family problems with their children in Miami that they chose to return to Chile. In the 3 months at my home, I have not heard that they have messaged or talked with their daughter or son.
I hope that they will be fine in their apartment and wish them all the happiness in the world.
Good night, friends. I, too, need more space in my house and life. This barbecue will be a caring goodbye from both sides
See you tomorrow.

I cannot even think about what it is to have so many problems with the children that you have to move when you are around 80 years old. I cannot even buy another house and move in the same neighborhood. I´d do that only if I found a house in the same block that my youngest daughter lives.

@LadyDuck It is sad to be so alone. Just now they said good bye and Lely had tears in her eyes when she thanked me for having them.

@marguicha It is very sad to reach that age and have to move so far away from your children.

I am sure that they are very grateful that you took them in until they could find somewhere else. Enjoy your peace and quiet now! Enjoy the barbecue!

Good luck to all. Hopefully they can resolve the issues with their children. Sad when families cut one another off.
I'm sure you will enjoy having your own space again.

I hope so too. But I cannot think that a daughter would not try to reach her parents in 3 months if they have gone to another country.

Although it has not been easy, I did not do it out of generosity. I love my friends.

You were so kind to help them out the way you did but I am glad you will have your home back. I hope the barbeque goes well.
