Among the good Filipino trait is loyalty to a friend.
In the book "History of The Filipino People" by Prof. Teodoro A. Agoncillo p. 10, he made the following observation on this trait:
"For the Filipino friendship is sacred and implies mutual help under any circumstances. A friend is expected to come to the aid not only of a personal friend, but also of the latter's family. A man's friend is considred a member of the family and is expected to share its tribulations as well as its prosperity and happinness. It is almost unthinkable for the Filipino to betray his friend, and if there be such one, he becomes a marked man: ostracism is the lightest punishment that can be meted out to him."
Are you loyal to your friend?

@mydanods Yes loyalty is common to humanity and I didn't say in my post that loyalty is an exclusive trait only for us Filipinos.

@KaRogerbanahaw I know you didn't say so. Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Is not agreeing with your friend's decision also a sign of being "loyal"?

Well, it depends on the situation. I am a Filipino. I do agree that we have loyalty as one of our good traits. But in what circumstances are we loyal, per se? Because, from what I can see in the Philippine setting, even your most loyal friend can betray you. Sad but true.
