Let's assume a friend of yours looked at you one afternoon and said "your lower lip is swollen". Out of surprise webbed with shock, you decided to catch a glimpse at the mirror. It's a common knowledge that the 1st thing u will see in the mirror is your lower lip. Albeit, the mirror had no idea as to what you wanted to see, it showed u a reflection of your full self with your legs, eyes, ears, etc, but all you saw was your lip. You failed to notice the new pimples that just sprouted on your face, neither did you notice the patches of eczema that just rented an abode on your face, all you saw was your swollen lip because your attention was directed to your lip. They are umpteen things that constitute a human-weakness,bravery,skills,etc; it's quiet amazing that most people tend to focus only on the bad stories about themselves or others. 'Elvis is a thief', of course that's true! But the same Elvis is humble, a good runner, etc, depending on what you want to see! So why dwell only on the negative?

Because we want to protect ourselves and preserve our self-esteem. People do not look in a mirror because they want to dwell on the negative, but to see what others see that they cannot. No one wants to risk looking like a fool in the eyes of others.

same to what others say.. if the person is good to you, it will be forgotten even if he or she do good a million times to you but if a person makes a mistake even just for that simple mistake, it won't be forget.. sad but true..
