So, I’ve been in love with my best friend for two years, but even before i met her she’s been into a relationship with some guy i honestly hate. Not because i’m jealous but because he doesn’t even care too much about her. My feelings came too strong last years and months ago i told her i was in love with her. Our relationship became a little weird, it was like we had 3 nice days where i thought maybe i had a chance with her and then we fought for a week ‘cause she said “i don’t wanna lose our friendship”. Hate to say it but it was the typical friendzone excuse. Time went by and i made a huge last try for her to want me on our prom day. I’ll keep the details but it was something very romantic. Waiting for her to say yes i declined an offert to play in Spain (for those who don’t know i’m a soccer player) ‘cause i did wanted to be with her. She said yes but first asked me for some time to get over her last relationship. After a month of being dating she said “i tried but i don’t love you in this way, want your friendship” which is confusing to me ‘cause i day before that she said i was the only person she ever met who makes her feel loved. I can’t be only his friend i really can’t cause i know she’ll be back with her ex and that will kill me inside so i told her i want nothing but a relationship (maybe i’m too selfish) but i think i sacrificed too much for her to settle for less. But i also don’t wanna lose her. It’s hard cause i know if we become friends again i won’t get over her. So guys, what should i do?
