Almost three weeks ago, my fiancé came here sick without really knowing he was til five hours after he got here.. then just over 24 hours later, I was sick. It was the flu. Both of us had the sweats, chills, fever, nausea, bad cough, sore throat.. He had the runs, and threw up three times. Which he hasn't thrown up since he was 10 (he's 27 now) so it was a big deal. But even with being nauseous, he was able to eat - and alot at that. I was totally nauseous, and couldn't eat or even look at food for a whole week. Which would never happen with me not having the flu, so that was definitely a sign. I also had to force myself to throw up - three times because my body wouldn't do it itself. And I had very bad pains from all the coughing, that I was in tears for hours three days in a row. Now here we are, almost three weeks later and I'm happy to say that the nausea is finally gone! And I've been able to eat - like myself - for about 4-ish days now. I was even able to have mashed potatoes tonight for dinner! Which is a big deal since the smell of it cooking last time made us toss it out. I do still have the cough though, but the doctor said I could have that for about 6 weeks.. and I can deal with it, so I'm good. Oh, and the fiancé has been good for about 3 days. Lol. Wow what a difference a week can make.

I have never had the flu and I hope I never do. I hope you are feeling a lot better now. It is never any fun being sick.

Flu is miserable to have. They are saying that it takes several weeks to get over it. I am so glad you and the boyfriend are over the worst of it.

I had two viral infections this winter which made me feel terrible. The first one lasted 7 weeks but the second one only 10 days. I felt so awful that now if someone coughs near me I get nervous as I don't want to catch anything else!
