21st Century Problems

My phone memory is full. Oh, woe is me! It's one of those things that really gets to me but I feel like a right plonker when I complain about it out loud It's packed full of photos and videos of my son, Leonard, and obviously I could never bring myself to just delete them, so I've spent the last couple of months slowly deleting other things and now I've backed myself into a corner. It wouldn't be a problem if my Internet worked properly but I can barely get on mylot, never mind upload photos to be printed It's my afternoon off tomorrow, Leonard will be with my parents, so I'm going down the road to a coffee shop where I'm hoping either they have WiFi or my phone's Internet will work well enough for me to get it all sorted. I've also just found a website where you can upload your videos for them to be put on a disk and sent to you. It says you can upload 2GB a month and I've got over 7GB of videos so it will take me a while but as far as I can tell it's quite cheap so it should be worth the effort. I wonder if I'll feel lighter after tomorrow?

You cannot backup them on a laptop to print them later ? Another simple way, if your phone can accept an USB OTG cord, is to backup them with a card reader on a SD or micro-SD card.

I've got a memory card in my phone but the entire thing is full... and my netbook has very little memory capacity and it's already completely full of videos from the first six months of Leonard's life I got my photos printed anyway, and I'm borrowing my dad's laptop tomorrow so I can put my videos on disk

Maybe it's time to get yourself some mobile hardware storage device for those photos.

You don't have to delete anything or spend on anything, there are a lot of free cloud sites to store them to free up your phone. Deleting cached data is also an effective way of freeing up space.

Trust me there's no cached data left to delete I'm getting hard copies of my pictures and videos because they're no good to me in cloud storage

Using cloud storage would help.

I don't have the Internet connection to use anything like that without having to go sit somewhere away from my house and do it, and I like to have more solid access to these things anyway. It was better for me to go sit in the coffee shop and order hard copies of all my photos rather than upload them to cloud storage where they'd be forgotten, and tomorrow I'm borrowing my dad's laptop so I can put all my videos on disks

That is a problem for me too though I do not have many photos. I delete those they say "never used" hoping I will never need them! I see some have given good suggestions. I save some documents and photos in the "cloud" - siva

I finally managed to get my videos on dvd last week, and I'm going to do the same with my mam's phone this weekend because it's so full it's becoming unusable!

You can learn cloud computing. I too want to learn it from my son.

It would be way too hard to delete all of his photos. I mean Amyra is just my niece, and if I couldn't bring myself to delete hers, no way could I delete my actual child's.

I am technologically limited I do know you can connect your phone to a pc. Just transfer all the pics and vids over from your phone to a pc. If the pc has one of those disk things you can then transfer them from the pc to a disc. If you don't have a pc buy an external hard drive and borrow someones pc!!!
