More Gallifrey, please.

I'm not as caught up with Doctor Who as I would like to be, but am working on it. As we are looking forward to the new season I am very much hoping that they will do something similar to what happened with Tom Baker and actually show more of Gallifrey and Gallifreyan culture. I will admit to being extremely biased (Patrician in New Gallifrey and Gallifrey is a special interest of mine), but I am also very frustrated by those who don't want any focus to be on the Doctor's home planet. I don't understand why anyone would like to have such an important aspect of the main character's history, his home planet and his entire species be gone. Why would you want to turn him into some sort of tokein Gallifreyan and have him ace human when he is obviously not? I don't know about every one else, but I watch sci-fi with non-human people so I can watch non-human people, not so I can watch a human flat steriotype that people like to pretend is a non-human species and culture. Seriously though, I think we should bring back the planet of the Massive Nerds (aka - Gallifrey) and see more of it in the future.

The show cheaped out by having the Doctor 'forget' but with the final arrival of the female Doctor we should have a story line over 1 or more season leading up to returning the planet to the real time universe. Or we can only hope.
