MY Creature Comfort Lifestyle And MyLot…

Trinidad And Tobago
February 28, 2018 4:50am CST
I hook my laptop to a big screen TV and sit in my recliner and use a remote mouse and keyboard. Yup! I have every creature comfort. I am sitting here trying to think of a light topic to write on. My health is not too good and my eyesight even worse. My doctor says my left eye is myopic and my right eye is presbyopic (presbyopia). My left eye is my reading eye and my right eye is my driving eye. No, there is nothing medically wrong with my eyes… I see fine. It’s just that on days I am tired my eyesight drops…so off course I am grateful for the big screen. Also I am about five feet from the TV screen and my laptop. I can feel the heat, so I am happy to be away from the laptop and TV. My morning usually starts with morning devotions which last about 4 hours (on Sundays, it is 8 hours). Then I am back by 11.00am. I collect my breakfast and lunch then I go to my other site where I manage my niece account and my own. I chat with friends on Skype (only text) and then I hopped off to myLot to do a bit. I multitask all this while by watching CSI and Criminal Minds episodes on a big screen TV. I get ideas to write a discussion and jolt them down. I do some house cleaning and laundry in between as well as the tedious chore of opening and closing windows when the rain is falling …as well as closing and locking up every evening. From upstairs you can hear the bar downstairs, which will remain open until 10.00 in the night. Since our bandit attack, we call each other every few hours. I will collect my dinner around this time. I play a few games of solitaire or mahjong to unwind after my long day. I brush and ‘bristle floss’ my teeth. After I go to sleep I get up about 4.00am and I write pieces for myLot and search for appropriate pics on the internet to add. I visit myLot again and reply to comments or just post something. Then my day starts all over. How do you spend each day? Do you have any special needs you have to cater for each day? Credit: Picture taken from the internet, free domain.

I try to include some carrots in my diet to help my eyes. It is also recommended to wash your eyes every few hours if you spend long time on the computer.

Does ‘gitara’ mean ‘guitar’ in your language?

'Gita' means 'song (of the Lord)' and 'Tara' means 'stars'. So my name means 'one who hears the celestial sounds of the stars'. It is a sound / vibration that can be heard during mediation....or scientists will say 'it's the humming sound of all living things'. Cool, isn't it?

After my kids go to bed I sit here on my couch with my feet up and my tablet on my knees. The battery is about to die so I am hoping to get through all the recent posts of those I follow before it does.

@Gita17112016 I mylot during the day while I sit next to my son when he does cyber school and at night after my kids go to bed. I pop in and off through the day though whenever I have a few minutes.

So you do your myLotting at night? Do you have to go to the technician to change your battery or can you change it yourself?

My eyesight is too declining and I could not check up with the doctor last year. My day is also hectic but honestly I can't get up at 4 am I set my alarm at 5.30 am to send my children to school in time. Now two days are holidays for them as 'Holi' celebration is around and I may also get off as well. Yes, I am working and after the house chorus at home I have to rush to office then evening the same routine till 11 PM

@Gita17112016 Holi is the festival of colours. I am from the South India (Kerala state) and now working in North India. Holi is celebrated in Northern India. We South Indians never celebrate this festival so I don't like to play with colours. Here people put colours on each other, make sweets at home. This is the usual method of celebrating.

I visit the eye specialist every two years and I have three pair of glasses...driving, reading and combine. But I don't use them! I get along okay except when I become tired and the sight drop. A 15 minutes power nap usually restores it back and I have learn to listen to the signals. Thankfully I am retired. How do you celebrate Holi in your country?

Sounds like a pleasant way to spend the day. My days begin and end with prayers, and I exercise in the mornings and watch TV or a movie with my husband in the evening. Other than that, I'm pretty busy throughout the day.

yup, I love the big screen. The writing are more legible to read. Doing chores is necessary because you still have to go through the motions of living. I think I suffer the effects of old age...so I hardly think there will be a recovery.

Every day is a little different. Today I mostly listened to videos for cash and mylotted. I didn't want to do anything stressful today since the last few days were. I said goodbye to friend and his dog this morning..then I just wanted to chill.

How do you go about listening to videos for cash? Is this a site? Sounds very relaxing lifestyle. My days are pretty much the same routine unless I have to go out (which I really hate).

I spend each day mostly working and mylotting too. And when I do, my laptop is on my lap for hours. You might think I'm crazy for having it on my lap but my laptop doesn't heat up like most laptops do so it doesn't burn my lap at all. At the moment I have my laptop on my lap for more than an hour and I'm waring shorts. No heat. I don't have any special needs to speak of. It's sAtruday here, weekend and I'm supposed to be working but thank goodness I'm not.. Just arrived late last night from a business trip and I need my rest. I'm extremely exhausted and my body is in pain.

Worst thing that can happen is going blind, this is why I don't whine much about my gout. And four hours of devotion, wow I could barely last an hour in that Lord of Pardon rosary last week.yeah I had to do my laundry.

True. We give thanks for whatever blessing we have. Sometimes the grass on the other side only LOOKS greener. Four hours of prayers can only come from practice everyday. Otherwise it is tedious and back breaking.

I love your recliner. My grandfather had one and he would let me sit in it. Where we live now our place is too small for one so cannot have one.

Not to boast but I did away with all my couch sets and replaced them with recliners. I have 7 recliners. Some are very advance technology that combines couch, recliner and rocking chair. They are very expensive but are well worth the investment. I usually sit with my feet up (to help circulation) so they are very handy. Also my recliner chair is one where no one else can sit on it. It is reserved What is your country?

@Gita17112016 What do you mean your recliner is reserved Gitara? I am jealous that you have that many. I live in Israel.
