Sunny was brought to our foster care home by his maternal grandmother. In the last ten years he has grown to be a handsome teenager but he still carries the bad effects of his traumatic childhood. His foster mother and I love him and care for him as much as we can but sometimes I worry what he will be or do in his life and what his future might bring.
He is so intelligent that he can easily rank among the first ten students of his class, but is so careless about his studies that his progress card shows him with those at the bottom ten. He doesn't take good care of his books and and can't sit in one place to concentrate on his lessons. He tells lies. He comes into the house at odd hours, eats whatever food he finds and escapes. He bullies smaller children and I have to hear complaints against him almost every other day.
Our counselor is trying to help him but perhaps it is too early to expect any good result from the sessions. We parents can only hope and pray that as years pass he will be more responsible and take control of his life. Till then we have to be patient with him and keep loving him.

I understand how difficult and complicated this situation must be for you. Sometimes it's so hard to raise someone's awareness or even find a way to reach out to them. I just hope you keep up your good work and don't lose your patience and devotion.
