Daydream, In a daze. Am I alert Or feeling crazed? Do I think about work? Do I think about play? Do I think about my life That has run away? Oh what am I daydreaming? I wish that I knew. Perhaps I'm dreaming Of relaxing in a canoe? Or maybe I'm daydreaming About romance and love. I wish that I'd get a signal From the man up above. Daydreaming about heroism. Daydreaming about my youth. Daydreaming about the dentist That is pulling my tooth. There are so many things That you can daydream about. Just remember when you wake up That you don't scream and shout.
