David Ogden Stiers was a busy actor during his long career as an actor. He is most noted for playing Major Charles Emerson Winchester in Mash. I enjoyed his role Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast. Also his guest roles on Mary Tyler Moore and the Perry Mason Movies. He passed at 75 from Bladder Cancer in Newport, Oregon not far from where I grew up. Rest in peace.
What did you see him?

I remember him most from M*A*S*H. The bit about him being a classical music buff was real, though: he frequently conducted orchestras throughout the country.

Yes more than 70. When Raymond Burr was doing the Perry Mason Movies he talked about David and their love of music.

I'm afraid I don't know him at all. We didn't watch much TV for years and years - and still don't actually.

I read of his passing. Didn't know he had retired to Oregon.
