What do you think about violent videogames?

Good reply ! Well I don't think so because all my life I've been playing "violent videogames" and I never, I repeat: Never get in trouble with agressive behavior but I think ESRB is doing well classifying the games but the parents never see this rating ! If parents see this rating of ESRB i think it must change because I think its hard to someone that is 18+ years old to repeat something that he sees in the videogame ! Thanks for your opinion, bye.

Thanks for bringing that up, I forgot to mention it in my response! You are the exact reason why people argue back and forth...all the studies show is that you're "more likely" to engage in agressive behavior. My husband is like you - plays them and he's the last thing from violent...and argues that they don't create agressive behavior... Which I agree, they just increase the likelyhood of agressive behavior. However, I do think if children play them like you said they are affected by it more. I also think it affects children more than you or I because they become desensitized to the voiolence. I know several middle school students who play violent games and then will tell me they see nothing wrong with the school shootings all over the country...and yet my husband and I are horrified of how a kid can kill a kid. :) Thanks for the response.

Yeah, I think the better way to see if a game is good for your sons is playing it, if you think it's good, let him play it, if not, don't do it ! Thanks for discussion !
