It should be a nice day today!

My sister rang me yesterday for a chat she said we have not seen each other for too long and asked if she could come next weekend. I said yes of course! She then rang me to say that it is Mothering Sunday next week so she won't be able to make it but is free today could she come today instead. I told her of course you can....... Hmm quick dash to the supermarket to buy some food for lunch although she said she would like to go out for lunch but I said no I insisted I would cook instead. I got up at 06:00 started peeling onions and other veg I have decided to make a beef casserole. I precooked the beef with onions and seasonings and have put it in the slow cooker. We will make some roasted potatoes and have cabbage with it. I am in two minds whether to make some cobblers to put on top. I wait and see. I could not be bothered to make a cake last night and to be honest did not really want to make one this morning so I cheated and bought a Blackforest Gateaux from the Patisserie. I am sure that will go down a treat! It looked quite tempting to be honest and looks far better than a cake I would make so its a no brainer really and saves a lot of work too. They are due here in around half an hour. I know the time will fly by as it usually does when they come as we always have lots to catch up on! Have a wonderful Sunday. I will catch you later!
