Do you agree or disagree with Wal-Marts new advertisement campaign? For those who don't know - Wal-Mart's new ads are geared to people who celebrate Christmas. So, instead of "Holiday Shopping" its now "Christmas Shopping".
Obviously, to remain politically correct in our society, we wish people "Happy Holidays" instead of saying "Merry Christmas". The reason being, not all faiths celebrate christmas.
What do you think?

Does not make a difference. Part of the problem is the last couple of years some of the government decided that it was be better to say Happy Holidays then Merry Christmas because of the different religions and people in the US that do not celebrate Christmas. But this year the people decided it is Christmas and that it offended people that did celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ. So as I have always said
MERRY CHIRSTAMS TO ALL...AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS
That way it fits both...

good response!
Yes, the reason why we have abolished "Merry Christmas" is because of the the different faiths. In society, we don't want to offend anyone. However, I think it's a brave business move by Walmart.
Seasons Greetings!

well if people don't celebrate christmas....then they don't need to go christmas shopping, so I don't have a problem with it :)

Nor do I have a problem with it. However, it could/has raised some issues with other faiths.

Here's the way I feel about it....Everyone is yelling equal rights equal rights...take prayer out of shcools take the ten commandments of everything drop the flag salute, say holiday not Christmas because the Christ part, by taking all this away because some people don't believe in it...you take the rights away of those that believe,,,if people don't want to say merry christmas then say happy holidays. I use both. If people don't believe in the ten commandments don't read them, don't put your hand over your heart when they say the flag salute, This country was built on In God We Trust....If they want to pray in school let them the other kids can pray to their gods just as well or not pray at all ...see where I am going with this....while giving others equal rights they take away from what others believe.

well honestly it offends me that they changed it to holiday shopping.
I like Christmas shopping...
But here in America where Christmas is celebrated by most I think it should be fine. It doesnt have anything to do with religion half of the time. I know a LOT LOT LOT of people that dont believe there's even a God that celebrate Christmas. A lot of people think of it as a day to give and get gifts and be with family... so honestly it shouldnt matter when it comes to religion... Not trying to offend anyone it just drives me crazy when ppl are like oh well thats not what I believe change it. If you dont like it ignore it or leave.

I don't see what the big deal is. I'm not a Christian and I'm not offended by it.
