Mildred the Cat – see you later, alligator

United States

Hi everybody. It's Mildred the Cat, hailing from Connecticut, USA, who will soon go into hiding until tomorrow’s Nor'easter passes by, hopefully reemerging well-rested and totally unscathed. Geez, we just survived a nasty Nor'easter last weekend and now another one. My mom is not happy. Fortunately, even unhappy, she remains wise. She went to the grocery store this morning and stocked up on everything we will need for the next few days, including some litter and a whole rotisserie chicken for me. As long as there’s a chicken in the fridge, I can survive anything. To show how great I am, I will share the chicken with my mom if she wants. So, I am saying adios amigos for now and wishing all my friends and fans out there to stay safe, to stay warm and to stay inside, especially if you are in the path of this storm. Till next time, purrs, paws and high fives. Image: Pixabay.com

I hope you find a snug, warm place to rest till the storm passes. And it's great that you have plenty of chicken.

Thanks. I'll probably end up under my mom's bed. That's usually my go-to place in times of trouble.

I am glad that mom got the rotisserie chicken but if it gets tough you can just have mom pack you up and come to Florida, we are nice and warm.

Thanks for the invite. Unfortunately, my mom won't even let me out in the yard let alone all the way to Florida!

Lucky for you! This year the eastern coast seems to have been hit unusually hard. I'm hoping it has finally come to an end.

Glad your Mom stocked up on food for all of you. Stay nice and safe till the storm passes and a "Hasta Luego" from me to you. Wishing that you will all be undercover in your house and out of harms way if the storm hits strong.

Good thing your Momma handled things early Mildred. I won't tell you about the blue skies and 57 degrees here; otherwise you'd be hitch-hiking to Texas. I can just see your paw in the air now @LindaCPearson .

I mentioned the 57 degrees/blue sky stuff to my mom. She looked like she was about to cry but said no way am I going so far away from home. So much for Texas! Maybe another time.

Why don’t you go out, hiss at the nor’easter, and scare it away?

Find a warm comfy place to sleep while that nasty snow blows.
