Hey everyone, hope all is well with you all! :) The second song in this (forever long, lol no just kidding, who knows) series, comes from an interesting jam-band, hope you wonderful people like it! The song is called "I Got It" by Galactic. They formed in 1994, in New Orleans. The band incorporates many different genres in to their sound, which is quite interesting, some of which includes: rock, funk, brass band, jazz, hip hop, and world music. They have released 9 studio albums, as well as 2 live albums, during their long tenure as a band. Some info verified by Wikipedia. Below, you will find a link to the song, enjoy!

I remember that song, now that is what I call escapism music. I remember how Ice Cube was explaining how hip hop and pop and r&b is all escapism music these days to where in his time they actually said something. I think Ice Cube was being polite because there is a big difference between this song and modern mainstream music escapism. This is actual music written by real musicians.

Interesting, kinda ironic they formed in 1994 though, I'm catching some early 80s funk/early hip hop in there. Pretty cool! On another note, as I opened this on my other youtube account, a thing popped up they are playing in Vegas soon. Lol. Thanks for sharing!

Yes! I used to have a couple of their CD's. I also had a CD, All Kooked Out, by their drummer, Stanton Moore. He's really good.
