Great movie. I never get tired of watching this one. William Holden was an incredible actor, I think. Billy Wilder did a fantastic job directing this movie. It is one of the few movies that I hardly notice it is in black and white. I find myself always laughing at the scene where they are painting the line in the road going to the Russian showers, especially at the end. This movie works so well even though there are no real female actresses involved. (not that I don't like them). The last 30 minutes of this movie are well worth the wait. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

One of my favorite movies, so I had to respond. If you ever watched Magnum PI back in the day, it was Magnum's favorite movie too. Gotta be one of the best war movies ever made.
