For 8 years, hubby and I has been living in an empty nest. Before we sold our family home with several rooms, I had a dishwasher. For working people, like us, it was necessity.
When we moved to a 2 bedroom flat, we didn't have one. Hubby and I took turns in doing the dishes. I quite liked washing dirty dishes, the ritual of scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, placing them on racks was therapeutic, exercised my hands in the process.
Now, in our new apartment, there's a dishwasher. I tend to pile up my dishes and fill it up, run it for twice a week. I still do my dishes manually. I prefer it that way.
I'm just worried that if we don't use the dishwashing machine, it might be damaged.
Do you have a dishwasher? do you use it often?

I am happy for you that you have a dishwasher. No, I am my dishwasher. I really do not need one.

yes. The trailer I lived in before didn't have one. I love mine. But some things I do manually wash.

I do not have a dishwasher unless you count my hands.

We don't have a dishwasher but I never wash the dishes. Our house helper does that for us. Maybe if we don't have her doing the dishes, we might end up buying a dishwasher.

i think it would help when you have guests, after all that grocery shopping, food prep, cooking and serving.
