I'm not even sure what this species is, but I captured it in my lense anyways. It's colors were just amazing, and its stunning poise was just as amazing.
I love what our planet gives us to see, such viberant colorful sights, the eye candy of our world.
I'm happy to have captured such a little masterpiece.

If I could see the leaves I would know for sure, but I believe this is one of my old fashioned favorites. We called them Bachelors Buttons, but they are also known as cornflower. They can be found in many shades but I believe blue is the original. Love the picture, and the precise moment in this bloom.

That's what I think the flower is, too, but you are right, I can't be sure without seeing the leaves and stem of the flower, GG.

I don't know the species of this flower, but it is really amazing. And its purple color is wonderful.

Is this a wildflower or a flower from a garden?

It is lovely...
I do wish you had photographed some of the leaves as well as the flower, though... It is usually easier for me to identify a flower if I can see the leaves, how they are attached to the stem and their height.
