Wow is all I can say! This city was one of my most favorites of Italy. I got into Florence quite late at night. Our bus pulls into the campground and the view we had was amazing through the trees you could see the famous Duomo. We quickly set up our tents and start walking down for dinner at this famous Florentine Steak restaurant. 10 mins into my walk I come upon this piazza bathed in an orange glow. Right in the middle of the piazza was the replica statue of David glowing in the sunset. It was absolutely STUNNING! Then you look around and you see the rest of Florence expecially the Ponte Vecchio. The history in this place was just pulsing and you could feel it all. I ended off my night with the yummiest steak of my life. The famous Florentine steak was so mouthwatering definetly worth the price ;p Does anyone else have any fond memories of Florence, or your most favourite Italian city? Post in the comments I'd love to hear. Please follow my adventures :)

I am Italian, I have lived in Italy until I married. Tuscany is my favorite region of Italy and I love Florence. In my opinion a lot better than Venice. Rome is also a nice city, but cannot compete with Florence.

My memories of Florence are vague. It was in 1974. I mostly remember, we had to spend Sunday in Florence as there was no driving due to fuel restrictions.

I visited Florence many times. My husband studied and worked there (when he was still my b/f). It is definitely one of the most fascinating cities of Italy.
