It may be an odd sandwich, but I have always liked it

I mentioned this sandwich in a post awhile back. But, I didn't see this article until the other day when I shared it with my son and his friend.
Peanut butter and Mayonnaise Sandwich is a sandwich my Mother made for me when I was a young child and I even took it sometimes to school in my lunch box. I still will eat it on occasion today.
My son and his friend think it sounds gross. I think it is quite tasty.
My Mom made it for me as a youngster because it was cheap and satisfying which corresponds to why many in the South made it during the lean days around the Depression and the World War.
Have you eaten this sandwich? If you have do you like it?
Through the hardships of the Great Depression and the lean years that followed, peanut butter and mayonnaise kept many struggling households afloat

I can understand why people would say it don't sound good. Mayo. Well, mayo can go bad. But look, it might not be something that sounds appetizing to me, but to each his own. If you like it, no one should ever put it down. Enjoy your sandwich.

Mayonnaise and peanut butter isn't cheap anymore. I'm not a big fan of mayo so this doesn't sound remotely appetizing to me. However I did have a peanut butter and honey sandwich for breakfast today.

@LeaPea2417 I prefer it to jelly. We actually eat more apple butter and peanut butter sandwiches. I just don't like jelly that much anymore.e

I will eat it both ways, sometimes I am in the mood for jelly and sometimes I am in the mood for mayonnaise.

I have never had it and it does seem like an odd combination but only because I have never heard of it before. I will have to give it a try.

Oh dear, it doesn't sound too good, but maybe it's an unlikely tasty pairing.

Yes, they don't seem like they go together, but surprisingly they do go together.

Mayo is a good go to condiment for sandwiches. I don't know what I would do without it. One of my favorite kid favorites was butter and sugar sandwich, lol.

Hmm, I don't like peanut butter on my sandwich. I just like to scoop it and eat it as it is.
Though, I love putting mayonnaise as my sandwich filling. Maybe I should try this combination first on a small sandwich and see if the taste is good to my taste.
