A day in the life of Tom Khatt
by Jennine Donier 4/16/2010
Tom Khatt arose from his favorite chair and strolled out to get himself a beer, Returning beer in hand the big tom cat lay on the floor, a black rug hugging the hearth by the fire
Eyes glowing embers. Setting the beer down Tom, lay by the hearth reading his book but feeling overly warm he arose and leapt into the rocking chair, taking his book of cat tails with him.
He loved this chair ,it fit his frame well and he liked the distance it sat from the fireplace. Still feeling the warmth of the flames. Yet not so close he would feel uncomfortable.
He looked up as a dog trotted into the room and stood wagging his tail, eyes begging for
attention. He hissed at the dog who slunk away, then comfortable once again he settled down to read his book.
Annoyed he looked up as he heard footsteps once again approaching, flattening his ears his ember-fired eyes glowered at the stupid fawning dog that pushed his wet nose into his body as he sat among the cushions of his favorite chair. Hissing he slithered down to the floor again.
Slinking across the room he once more lay near the flames of the hearth, his black pelt puddling into the shadows of the room, his ember fired eyes glowing balefully at the dog.. Stupid dog here he comes, wagging his stupid tail, licking at my hand, he is so needy.
Scratch the ears and rub the belly, looking on with my ember glowing eyes, fawning for attention and affection, My slave, I am his master, glowing ember eyes look adoringly at the Master, ah yes feels so good, a little to the left, down, yes right there, scratch, ah rubbing my black pelted shadowy fur against the adored ones legs, as I purr contentedly. Master of my universe by the warm hearth with glowing embers.
