I just stopped at an independently owned convenience store in my area because I really needed some milk and butter and did not want to go all the way to the grocery store. Anyway, on the counter they had some of the atomic red hots..the little red balls bathed with an intense cinammong flavor. I used to get them all thet time as a child and will buy them occassionally as an adult if I see them, but they are kind of hard to find. Boy are they hot!!! I wonder why as a little kid I always wanted them..the formula is the same..I mean once you get past the outter core they are like any other hard candy..but hot is the word! Are you a fan of the red hots?, sometimes called atomic red hots.

Even as a kid, I hated red hots. I took no pleasure in putting something in my mouth that would make my mouth feel the intense flavor you get from those hot balls.

I loved them. I would take a red hot over a tootsie roll anytime! I still would!

@snowy22315 I'm more of a tootsie roll fan.

Yes, they are very hot cinammon hard candies painted a bright red. They are intensely hot for a few minutes, and when the hard coating melts they are just like a regular candy.

@LadyDuck You might find them in a place that either sells old fashioned candy or American candies.

This sounds a lot like "Atomic Fireballs". They are quite hot and I like them too! Spicy isn't for everyone but I will eat fresh jalapeƱos (live plant, not canned or cooked) like carrots. So the Atomic Fireballs are pretty easy for me. I get high on spicy stuff. :-)

They are Atomic Fireballs. I don't eat jalapenos though unless they are sliced very thinly.

I was thinking of fireballs maybe with what I was picturing. I had to look up red hot candies and ohhh I loved them as a kid.

I haven't had those in years. I probably wouldn't enjoy them as much as I did when I was a kid

These are kids that like intense taste, and som adults like them too. I don't go for the sour things though like sour gummy worms, lemonheads and the like.
