Wisdom teeth

Wisdom Teeth.. Well it has come to time for me to say farewell to my wisdom teeth. I took pride in hanging onto them all these years.... But.. one decided to impact upon itself this week... Self destructive unwise lil thang.... The others roots grew long and backwards and decided to do twisted... Twisted lil thang.... I come to the conclusion my wisdom is so powerful it can not be contained in a tooth... lol... These teeth are always designed to self destruct in our adult years... I would call them self destructers and imminent impactor teeth... Their behavior sure is not wise that is for sure ... But at least it had lead to an amusing trip to the dentist today... I think I finally found a place that I am comfortable with the yearly exam at.. I usually hate dentists even that... But I will not say the name on here for reasons of having issues in the past of fake debt collectors trying to pick up a non existing bill.... Wisdom teeth are foolish things... Who was the silly person to name them wisdom teeth.. ... someone obviously with a impacting and twisted sense of humor. grins. I found out later earliest date i can get it removed is April 30th I am not happy about that...

oh my how scary i know one the roots curved backwards and upwards and they twisted at least 5 times it looks like the starbucks mermaid... they said that it did not look like that tooth ever stopped growing... it was fine until two nights ago then that one impacted too.. but i had chronic sinus problems for a long time i am hoping when i get these out that will improve.

my wisdom teeth came through painlessly - never even knew they had until my dentist told me - I know lots of people who went through agony with them

@arthurchappell most of the time I do not get nervous over stuff but when a tooth impacts when your not biting down on anything and have your jaw slack it is pretty nerve wracking...

I hung on to mine until I was in my nearly 30’s and one was pressing on a nerve and causing extreme pain. My feeling is still to keep them until they cause a problem. I was very lucky and able to get them removed in less than a week after seeing the oral surgeon.

My painful one impacted on march 8th i have to wait until april 30th they saidit impacted well below the jaw line.. as well which they stated was unusual.. had it not did that the dentist would have been able to pull it.. i blame all my sneezing and clenching on that lol... but maybe since the top ones are half gone he will have less to mess with to pull them... i would keep them but i am afraid of i go through the oral once i will not want to do it again so iam hoping they take all four... at once and be done with it..
