Day 3 Micah 3 Micah 3:1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment? 2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; 3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron. 4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings. 5 Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that puts not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him. 6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. 7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God. 8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin. 9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity. 10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity. 11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? None evil can come upon us. 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest. Have you felt hopeless, as though everyone deserted you, tried to tell you lies and pass them off as truth? God told his people they were barbaric, feeding on lies, doing abominable acts, piling up iniquity, and not having any care for judgment or what was right. He told his people, he would not be found among his people. As Christians, even you have become complacent to the world, accepting the ways of the world without murmur or complaint. Listening to the lies, spoken as truth, until it looks and sounds like truth. Paul urged the people of Corinth to separate themselves from unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believes with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. You need to look at what you are doing, what you are involved in, examining your thoughts and actions, and separate yourself from Satan’s lies, and turn back to what you know is right and just, following after God, and not the ways of the world. The world is heartless. Just as it was when God gave the prophecy to Micah. Solomon said there was nothing new under the sun. There is no difference between the way people behaved then, as now. You must make a change. That change must come from the heart. You must discard the ways of the world, and turn back to God and your Lord Jesus Christ, and he will cleanse you, and make you new in him. Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (KJV) Only God can change you, renew you, and make you right in him, but you must seek the change. Let’s pray: Father, open my eyes to the evil taking place in the world. Show me where I am complacent and set aside what is good and embraced the world. Cleanse me from all wickedness, so I am separate from the world, and living right in you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 20 March 2018 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

More and more, I want to be separated from this world. The closer I feel to God, the more I see how easy it is for people to have one foot in their faith and one foot not. I am so far from perfect, but I ask God to make me pure.

That's what I want too, to be closer to him, so I'm not compromising with this world. Have a blessed day.

Amen! I was just talking about this today with someone. About how its really hard to live a real christian life while being involved in the world. I've been thinking about it since I've been home. Yes its easy to keep the tv off but eventually kids will see it and learn about everything and anything. Its hard. I don't think seeking private shelter away from the world is what God wants. If anything, its to face the obstacles of the world and still work on making better life choices to be like Christ. Its only through really accepting him in a personal life can one really seek to face the world.

I agree. Jesus didn't pray for the Father to take us out of the world, but help us to live in it, which is not an easy thing to do. Have a blessed day.
