Well, for me, it would really depend on the situation. I know I have given $$ to people begging on the streets in the past, and then find out some of them are not so genuine. I guess to me, I look into their eyes. Study them a little, and see how my Gut feels. If I feel it is something I need to be doing, than I will help them. Otherwise, I would either tell them I do not have something to help them out with, or maybe go buy them a Cheeseburger from McDonalds if they say they are Hungry. I have been Homeless and Broke before so for me, I can usually spot the True homeless person over someone pretending to be.
