When An old man got sick

Just got home from the hospital. We rushed my father in law to the hospital few days ago due to gastroenteritis but they discovered he has diabetis mellitus type 1. He has to inject insullin everyday. The doctor advised him to watch what he eat but the problem is he can't restrain himself from eating too much especially rice. He gets annoyed whenever we tell him to lessen his food.

Are you sure that he has type 1 diabetes? Old people usually have type 2.

He's only type 2 before but after forgeting to drink his maintenance med, the doctors says its already type 1.

@jcvee2009 I am sorry for him. Here the patient don't change the type, it is still type 2 who needs insulin shots.

Some people are really stubborn and they won't quit until the they're at their worst condition. They don't care about how others would suffer and not only them.

Just half cup of rice, portions of fruits..etc...forced diet...before he eats mountain of rice on his plate..sometimes not yet enough and will ask for another round...

@jcvee2009 He is hungry poor guy..so sorry for him. I wonder if oatmeal would be better for him.
