Tony Romo, for real?

I'm a big Dallas Cowboy fan. We got ourselves a big-time qb, i would say. Tony Romo, in his first 5 starts as an NFL quarterback, has shown the poise and quick decision making that a seasoned nfl veteran makes. He outperformed the best quarterback in the league, Peyton Manning, and went on to beat the (once was) only unbeaten team in the NFL, the Colts. So, Tony Romo, do yall think hes for real? I sure think hes shown the greatest promise out of any other guy since Troy Aikman. He's the spark this team has needed for such a long time. Let's see what yall think

I would be afraid if I were you that he is very similar to Rothlesberger in Pittsburgh. Romo looks good now because he has a strong running game and defense to keep the pressure off him. Ben looked good his first two years, but this year without the strong running game and defense the real Ben might be appearing. The Ravens made him look like a division 3 college QB yesterday.

Very true. But Ben is coming off a few injuries and might be out of sync a little. I look for him to come back strong in 07. Plus, its not like the Ravens defense hasn't torn opponent qb's to shreds in any other game.

He's inheriting a team that has a lot of talent and that, I think, is making him look a little better than he really is. Much like Big Ben in his first couple of years as a Steeler.
The key is, can he develop enough to make the team competitive even when the talent leaves through free agency.

He's obviously still developing as a qb. And, if the 'boys lose key players to free agency, by then Tony will have learned a lot from them, and Tony will then become the guy that shapes the team himself. This is a good fit.

He did come from nowhere. He's been on the bench for three years. And not only that, he was an undrafted free agent coming into the league his rookie season, and he played a college division I-AA school. That's pretty much nowhere...
