(Compared to regular banks which is .4-.55%APR) It's super easy to use, great customer service and has the ability to set up several sub accounts for various things you're saving for(repairs, vacations, children) -----How to use it: You link your ING account to your checking account. You have the ablity to transfer money in and out. It usually takes 1-3 business days for a transfer to go through. I like how you can either choose to move money at your own will, or schedule an automatic w/drawl from your checking account each month into the ING savings. -----Saftey: It's FDIC insured just like any other bank. They really have alot of safey measures in place to prevent hacking as well. (Which makes me feel 100% better) -----Referrals: When someone sends you a referral email you click the link and set up an account. If you deposit $250, you get a bonus $25 in your new ING account as a thank you - and the person who referred you gets $10 in their ING account. You can send up to 25 referrals per account. I know several people who have set up an account for themselves and then refer their spouse so that they make $25 on the new account and $10 dollars on the old account. PLUS they get 49 referrals between the two of them. -----Catch: There is no catch.
