A femail pedestrian was killed by a self-driving Uber vehicle last Sunday. The self-driving tech becomes a hotspot now. What do you think about this self-driving tech? Should those engineers be more cautious on the public testing? Or those casualties are just necessary sacrifice on our way to success? Anyway, i feel sorry for the victim in this car accident. And obviously no one wants to be killed by a 'mad'(malfunctioning) machine.

i think they're a long way from having a car that can be totally trusted to just let loose..they'd be better off using a rail system.

You know I could never understand why they got this sort of technology. What do they really want to do with a car or any sort of vehicle that is driver-less. I'd rather like having technology that can give you a working liver or other organs when yours gone bad, rather than a driver-less vehicle. I'd rather have technology where we can have painless mammograms or much easier colonoscopy than driver-less vehicles.

Well, it does have a good aspect. Think about such a situation that all cars are driverless and public, if you want to go somewhere, a car will approach and take you to your destination, then it just goes away to pick next passenger. This means a much higher availability of vehicles and thus we need much less of them, and this further eases the problem of traffic jam, lack of parking place, car polution, energy crisis...

They should be banned because they are dangerous.
