Mildred the Cat - We dodged a bullet here!

United States

Hi everybody. It's Mildred the Cat. Greetings to all my friends and fans. Well, the weather persons (notice I didn't say weathermen) were wrong this time and my mom and I are very happy they were. For days they kept scaring us, predicting another Nor'easter with inches and feet and tons of snow expected. After all the hype, we barely got a dusting. Phew! Let's hope that is the last Nor'easter prediction for the year. Enough is enough already! I'm tired of hiding under the bed. I'm tired of my mom looking out the windows and saying unpleasant things. I'm tired of money being spent on shoveling and plowing and not on my needs and comforts. I need sunny warm windows, not the darkness of under-bed hiding. I need a mom that frets less and plays more. Hopefully, this is in my very near future. I hope you guys are done with storms as well. Take care, everybody. Till next time, purrs, paws and high fives. Image: Pixabay.com

The snow was scared of you. Plain and simple.

It should be! I may only weigh 9 pounds, and most of it fur, but I am strong and mighty and to be feared!

@LindaCPearson Last week they had forecast snow, so I do not complain, it's cold but at least the sun is shining.

Today we are experiencing sunny and chilly as well. Even though it's really chilly, it's sure better than what we expected.

I'm glad you and your Mom are doing well, little Mildred. Its a stormy Spring day here but nothing too awful when it comes to driving.

We are watching to see what develops. It is supposed to turn nasty between noon and one. We hope to be back home...tucked in....but maybe this one will also miss us.

I sure hope we're done with storms. We've had way too many this year.

Dear Auntie Mildred the Cat, I was thinking about you and hoping you were okay. I hope you can come out from under the bed for awhile and eat chicken treats. I stayed safe in the storm a few days ago, and had a good snooze. It thundered a little and rained for a few minutes, but our only concern was the wind as we have a lot of tall trees that have limbs that are fond of coming unattached. I did get detained in the carrier in the bathroom for a few minutes, but I got catnip and treats when it was over. We had no damage, but there was wind and tornado damage in other places in Georgia and Alabama. Love, Huckleberry the Fearless Feline (so long as it doesn't thunder too much)

Dearest Huckie - I'm fearless too, especially when I'm under the bed! We have only one tall tree in the back yard and my mom worries every time it storms that it's going to fall on someone. I guess I need to add tall trees to my "All things scary" list. Stay safe, Huckie. Luv, Auntie Mildred the Cat.

Our mean weather man was right and we got a couple of inches of snow yesterday. Glad yours was wrong. We are all hoping for warm weather again.

Yes, indeedy! And don't forget, I will be getting my annual summer lion shave and will no longer have the fur coat.
