State declared the official status to a Fruit

Suppose you have only one Fruit with you and all the members of the family are really hungry to eat .( May be count the numbers five or six). I think there is only Fruit in the world that can satisfy each members. Chance for getting balance. That's our Jack Fruit. King of all fruits. Now the state government of Kerala, India declared it is the state fruit and given special status. Jack fruit have many healthy benefits. It is from a taller tree . So there is zero chance of any pesticide. All parts of the Jack fruit is usable. It is one of the healthy food advised for diabetic patients. Value added products from Jack fruit is popular every where.

Yes that's why I said all parts of the jack fruit is usable. Not ripe one is best for making vegetable curry. We are using many dishes from jack fruit and seed. But I know the names only in Malayalam.

That is so true that is a fruits with many uses as the fruity covering with a great flavor of the seeds is consumed1 The seeds after boiling can be consumed or can be used in cooking! The unripe fruit tastes like a non veg dish with appropriate spices when cooked ! I love this fruit! I appreciate that Kerala Government has declared as its State fruit though this fruit is now a days is seen grown in many parts of the country! Thanks @shshiju!

You are welcome @AKRao24 . I will mention some of the dishes from Jack Fruit. Chips Halwa Vegitable curries Mix with beef curry Payasam Ilayappam ( Bread in Leaf) Puzhukku And Many more Some of the dishes I don't know the Engish words

@AKRao24 I know they are tropical fruits, other users have mentioned them before. There are many tropical fruits that are imported in our country (mangoes, papayas, pineapples, star fruits...), but not Jack fruit.

I've just researched it and it is grown in Australia. One restaurant serves it up to look and taste like pulled pork.
