Stormy, the Bird picker Stormy was a tiny all grey farm cat, she was skilled at taunting the bird houses... and bird feeders. At the time I had her we were not allowed to feed the feral cats, so they used to bird pick, and garbage pick... Even after we started to feed them they still would... I remember one day sitting with my Grandpa watching.. as my Cat climbed up the metal pole to his bird house jumped on top leaned over and stuck her paws in the hole plucking out eggs... We learned she was little egg sucking cat too.. She would put baby birds in her mouth slide down and run off as fast she could, or throw the eggs on the ground and eat them.... She used to drive the family bonkers bird picking like this. Grandpa and I found it funny... Usually the healthier birds and good parent birds would dive at her and chase her all over.. But she was skilled enough to pick off birds that dove at her too. Eventually she had so many birds that chased her around she did not have to pick at feeders or bird houses anymore. She was a very loving cat.. and smart too. She eventually learned to hide with her bird catches..from the humans. :) . I posted many stories on Moochum too.. Moochum and Stormy were sister and brothers.. :) . Littermates.
