Stop the GUN Violence

Within the last week, there have been more than 15 schools in the metro Detroit, MI area that received gun threats which caused the schools to close for the day while investigations had their way. Well, last night about 11pm I received a call stating that my kids school received one of these threats. Honestly, what is the purpose of this nonsense? Well, I refuse to live in fear and I will not allow my kids to live in fear either. Safety is important, but not living in fear. I stay prayed up and I ask God to protect us every step of our day. When I took them to school this morning there was a lot of police presence outside and inside the school. Is this what our schools are going to look like in the near future on a daily basis? Our children deserve better and it begins with our communities coming together to stop the GUN violence! I pray for peace all around the world, but especially in our schools!
