As I told you, I wanted to eat some comfort food today.
So I checked at the kitchen and there was nothing I wanted to eat. I wanted something sweet and I don´t keep sweets. Nothing, except for the apricot jam I make.
So I made pancakes, filled them with apricot jam and made lapsang souchong tea to go with it.
What are you having for dinner?

I have enough groceries for this month and then some. I will try not to go to the supermarket until next month.

@celticeagle I live alone and the other person who eats here almost every day is Leticia. We are both old so we don´t eat too much.

Most of the times, Leticia makes awesome crepes that she fills with minced kale or spinach. We always leave one to eat with jam or other sweet.

That's one of my favorite teas.
The stepkids arrive within the hour, and I'm making sloppy joes and fries. This isn't the healthiest dinner ever, but this isn't a great day for them and I'm trying to make it a little better by serving something I know they like. I have carrot and celery sticks and sliced cucumbers with ranch dip too.

@marguicha It's a good way to get them to eat some kind of vegetables without thinking of it as "I have to eat a healthy thing".

I had beans and corn because I'm trying to eat healthier and save money at the moment. However, ice cream bars were on sale down the street so I went and got some to treat myself, but they melted a little bit on the way home and now won't refreeze hard enough to be to my liking. The struggle is real lol..........but I still ate 2.

@belindac I usually don´t eat sweets. I don´t keep any at home because I will not eat any. Except by bitter chocolate as I´m addicted to it.

@marguicha I go through phases nowadays. I do have a sweet tooth, but usually I prefer cookies or chocolate or something, unless it's hot out (it's freezing now!). I think because I hadn't had any in a while and it was really cheap, that's what my mind gravitated towards.

What's lapsang souchong tea?
Didn't have dinner last night. Had fever so decided to starve the cough and colds.

I know that hubby is making garlic bread from scratch. He won't let me in the kitchen, so I have no idea what else he has planned haha! Oh wait... I get to clean up after he is finished!

It is just thin strips of beef and pork that you grill yourself. Then they have sauces and lettuce
