I Saw My First Red Cardinal

I am so excited as I just saw my first red cardinal for this season. The last time I saw one was in the last Fall. What a beautiful sight it was when I opened the blinds in the kitchen this morning. The red cardinal was just sitting on one branch of my biggest forsythia in the back yard. It stays there for a few minutes and then took off. I am looking forward to see it every day now. One of the joys of the season. The picture is from Pixabay.

We do not have those birds here, but yesterday the golden finches were back. I think that winter is officially over.

@marlina It has been the second warm day, even if it's going to rain for the Easter weekend, it should stay warm.

I love them. I raised on from a baby. I found it in my pool. I had him 13 years.

@marlina Couldn't find the mom. I gave him special bird feed mixed with water until he was old enough to eat on his own.

Did you take that photo? Excellent picture. I have male and female cardinals visit me each day. They love my birdseed. I have also been seeing plenty of robins too. A good sign for warmer weather if they have traveled on up to Canada
