I'm Feeling Rather Low

My brother, sister-in-law, and their dog, Lulu just landed. They closed up their condo in Florida for eight months and flew home early this morning.
We will be flying home one week from today. Our other sister-in-law leaves the following day.
It's been a wonderful winter for us, but life goes on. I'm itching to see my two sons, my precious grandchildren, and of course, Doodles the cat.
To pick up my spirits, my husband is taking me shopping at my favorite stores and out to lunch. I hope it alleviates my low spirits.
Now to get prettied up. I will be back later to catch up.

You are lucky! Your husband knows how to make you smile. My husband would take me out to eat instead. hehe
I would feel rather low as well if missing my family for so long. I miss them (even if they re just three streets away from my place).

Yes, the change after all you have been thru can be overwhelming, but take life one day at a time. Be Glad you have a husband who can help take your mind off of things, and enjoy being with.

I'm sure that the shopping and the lunch will give you a lift.
I know it will take you seconds to get prettied up. Have fun!

It was a temporary lift, but even the salespeople were moaning how beautiful it was outside. We decided to have lunch outdoors in a beautiful courtyard.
It took me ages to get prettied up, and even if I spent all day and night, there's just so much I can do.

Better start packing and don't forget the memories. You can live on them.

That time you were in Florida sure seemed to fly by. How is the situation with your son and his wife did they find a house to buy yet? That cake looks yummy. My daughter went to a concert things the school to watch tonight and brought me home some sweets. They were yummy and hit the sweet craving I've been having while trying to eat healthier.

@DianneN oh man terrible cake is so disappointing. My father always buys chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting. I hate both of those but have to eat it so he won't feel bad. That's awful about your son's bad luck with the house he looked at It must have been amazing and a great price!

@shaggin That was the worst cake I ever had in my entire life! She should have gone to a bakery. The house was gorgeous, but extremely expensive. He was going to put in a lower offer, but it never got that far. It's just as well. The taxes were a fortune, too. He's in no hurry, so hopefully he will find a turnkey home. He is open to building a house, too, but there are very few lots in the town he's interested in living. He saw one lot, and didn't like the layout or location.

It did fly by! Our son has only looked at one house so far, but it was snapped up within 30 minutes of going on the market at full asking price. He's looking at one tomorrow, again out of his price range. The cake was horrible! My sis in law bought it at the supermarket. We threw it out. Lol!
Your daughter is a sweetie! Pardon the pun. I'm having peanut M&Ms as a treat later. It's been years!!!! Glad you are trying to eat healthier.

Gosh time flew - can't believe you're going back soon! But I knew it - I knew you'd be going shopping before you left . Well enjoy this one last week to the fullest . . . I think you'll be fine once you get back and you'll have something to look forward to for next season!

That's my brother.
I bought spring dresses and a cute t-shirt, sandals, cosmetics, etc. My husband was very, very lucky, because I had a gift card from one of the stores which covered all but $900 give or take. I bought those sandals without looking at the price. If I had, I may have not bought them, but I loved them!

I'm feeling sad to leave this paradise, thus feel low. I know I'll snap out of that feeling once I get home. I always feel this way when the season ends. We had such an extra wonderful time here this year. Oh, and just wait until I see that Doodles!!! lol

@BelleStarr Thanks! It was fun. I bought sandals and never looked at the price! Ha ha!
I have mixed emotions, but it won't be the same down here when all us snowbirds leave. They wait 8 months until we return.

It seems like a vacation here, although I still have cooking, cleaning, and laundry to do. I don't like the cool weather back home, but my husband won't let me stay longer. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and kissing Doodles the cat. lol
