these mobile popup ads are disruptive

I tried several times yesterday to post something from my phone since things were too hectic for me to be able to sit down at the computer. I've been able to do this in the past as means of interacting with people on here, even if I'm standing in line at the grocery store or rocking a sleeping child on my lap.
Every time I tried to do this, however, I got these stupid redirect links/popup ads telling me that I won a Kindle or an iPad or gift card or... you get the idea. It completely interfered with my ability to post at all.
I understand why this site has ads. I'm not arguing against having them at all. But what is the point of having ads that prevent the users from actually using the site? I'm not the only one who has complained about this issue lately, and I hope it gets resolved.

You're definitely not the only one, as I complained about it a few times over the last few days, as has April and Coral, and some others. Hopefully this doesn't take forever to fix like it did last time.

@Courtlynn Ok, a week seems reasonable. I thought you meant it took months.

@LadyDuck I imagine that's true, especially if they're the only ones who are affected by them.

Sometimes it's the only way I can have the time to get online, except when this sort of thing happens.

@amadeo I do prefer using an actual computer to post when possible.

I hope so too! I could have posted while waiting in line at Target this morning, but for the stupid redirects.

I wonder if it's also a location based thing?

Today is the first day since the pop up problem came back that I haven't had issues constantly.

I just saw the 'download our free software' box on there. Never download free software from a popup. If you insist on doing it, at least try to run it through your security antivirus first. When you download something, look at all the terms of the download. You might be loading on extra stuff that just comes on automatically.

@spiderdust This was not aimed at you but at anyone who dares to try it. The temptation is great sometimes. I'm glad you know better.

I don't download free software from a popup, I know better. The image above is an example, not a screenshot of my desktop.

That's awful. That would make people like me quit.
