Saudi women will finally be allowed to drive!, Jog, get out of the house without hijab and apply for government services without their guardians approval.

The New crowned Prince of Saudi Arabia is now rebelling against religious leaders because starting June this year, Saudi women can finally drive! He wanted to stop extremism in Saudi and modernize the country.
I remember women are banned from driving in Saudi because religious elders believes driving harms a woman's ovaries.
So why menopausal women and grannies banned from driving? Their ovaries dont produce anymore?
Another plant of Prince Mohammed bin Salman is to give women freedom to not cover their heads. I think this one will be a long battle. Also he is not yet King so his powers are still sorta limited.
One of his future plans, I remember is to build an all female city where women can work and wear what they want. This all female city wont have males on it so women can have the freedom of clothing.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is making unprecedented changes within Saudi Arabia, with a large focus on women in society. Norah O'Donnell visited t...

I think if the Prince of Saudi Arabia is friendly with Americans and the USA, he may be influenced by the values and practices in the West, especially the freedom the American citizens enjoy. He may gradually adapt to the Western mindset and this will benefit the Saudi women. For a long time, Saudi women are treated like second class citizens.

Yeah they are treated like property. I just hope this Prince wont be a target for Coup d'etat and assasination. He is triggering the conservatives.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I think The Saudi Prince is not in the mold of the hard-lined religious conservatives. He is open to modern thinking and ideas. Is it right to say that he is a progressive-minded young leader? If he embraces the modern concept of freedom and equality as opposed to the relic religious dogma of women slavery, then Saudi Arabia will experience gradual transformation.

Most of the royal personalities in Saudi Arabia are educated abroad, which influence him to modernize, if not moderate Islamic practices in the kingdom.

@Bluedoll I think it has something to do with their Neom Project. Neom is an open city like Dubai. It will be a place in Saudi that have less strict rules. I think they want some foreigners to live on it. Like how many British people lives on Dubai.

@CaptAlbertWhisker They started to change a few years back. They even allow their women to join the summer olympics for the first time. That was really a good change.

At least they are less backwards now. They may now allow women to go on streets without hijabs as long as outfit is modest.
So Saudi women may have more rights than Iranian women now.
